Great solid A/C unit. Built quality is solid and made to last for a long time. It was easy to install with not much effort. Instructions were simple and easy to use. The unit worked as intended, easily cool and heat a sizable open hall location. I'm pretty impress with its function and highly recommend.

We got this to install into our house/apartment. It works well. Typically we use a 5000 or 8000 BTU unit and this being 12000, it cools out whole first floor without any issues. The only difficulty we faced was trying to find workers to install it in our home for us.

Exceeded my Expectations!

This GE air conditioner is so powerful and quiet. The unit is solid.and durable and looks great. Very heavy be sure to install the sleeve around the unit. Installations took about half an hour and it was up and running. Easy to operate and doesn't put off a lot of noise. I have only been using this for about 2 weeks now and it has exceeded my expectations.

Works great for hot summer nights

This air conditioner works great for a large living room like ours. This is a wall ac but it's not a problem installing into. You just need to make sure the width and length fits right. After installation, it didn't take long to cool the room so that was awesome. At full blast, it's slightly loud but that's expected but setting it to medium speed and it works well. Overall this ac is great to have in your home for hot summer nights.

Well worth it

Installation was easy, I used the recommended wall sleeve in an existing hole from a previous unit that had been in the wall and this unit slide right. I am running it in a 350 sqft bedroom and this unit has it cooled off all day long. With the recent unseasonable cold we had up here I was able to try out the heat and it worked superbly. Had the room nice and warm rather quickly and kept it there with minimal effort. Remote control is a wonderful addition, I can turn it up or down without getting my laxy self out of bed!

What a breeze

The GE AKEQ12DCH 12,000 BTU in wall air conditioner is everything I could have possibly wanted. This can cool the largest of rooms with ease. I briefly tried out the heating option and I must say this will be a favorite to have year round. Everything is easy to control with the remote. Just keep in mind this is 230V when you are ready to install this AC .

I mam very happy with this product. It is 12,000 BTU and completely cools the entire down stairs of my house. Mounting it was much easier than I thought, and since it does heat as well, I will keep it in year round. It is pretty quiet, and only down side is that it will add to the electric bill, although I think it will be cheaper than running the three window AC's that I use to use to cool the same area before installing this.

I truly am impressed with the overall quality and design of this air conditioner. It offers an universal fit so it can easily slide into a variety of different wall sleeves which is convenient. I love the easy to read and use LCD screen. I can control the room temperature with just a quick touch of a button. This air conditioner features an ECO mode that reduces energy costs because the fans cycle off during cooling intervals. I appreciate that it comes with a washable filter, which is easy to remove and clean. I also like that this air conditioner comes with a remote control. Sometimes I just don't want to get up to adjust the temperature and now I can do that without leaving my couch. I am blown away by how quickly this air conditioner kicks in and cools down my whole house. I highly recommend this product as it is built well, works great, and is easy to use. I recently received this AKEQ12DCH 12,000 btu A/C unit by GE and absolutely love the sleek and modern design. It was extremely easy to install and fit perfectly where my previous unit was. The LCD display makes it easy to control and you can easily read the display or use the remote to operate the unit without having to get up. The unit has three fan speeds and cools my room very quickly, most likely due to the 6 vents that you can use to send the air in the exact direction you want. I really love how simple it is to remove and wash the filter which gives me the confidence that the air I am breathing is fresh and clean. I would definitely recommend this product!

I was a little worried about replacing a wall ac unit since I have only previously used window units. Fortunately this one was super easy. The frame was separate and easy to assemble, just make sure it's the right size. After that is in this just slides in. Definitely more features than a normal window unit.

After install this air Conditioner worked perfectly to cool my main floor. Even running the oven, kept the air nice and cool. The features are in paramount. I haven't used the heat feature yet, but the cooling feature is amazing. Remote control makes it easily accessible from pretty much anywhere. I highly recommend.

This thing weighs 90 freaking pounds and is the size of a big mini fridge! This thing is massive but with 12k BTUs you can cool down a 1500 SQ house with ease. Definitely worth it rather than separate units all over the house drawing electricity. It does take 230 rather than 110V so beware of that.

We picked this AC unit up for my daughter's room because the upstairs Centeal Air never makes it cool upstairs. After a little retrofit the ac fit perfect and had upstairs cold in about 20 minutes. The outside caseing/ sleeve works perfect aswell.

Kept my hot bedroom cool

I have been using this through the wall air conditioner for over a week now. My bedroom usually is hot in the warmer months because of the sun hitting directly towards my bedroom window. I needed an air conditioner that can cool it off quickly and this has worked so far. Now it isn't the usually hot summer days where I am at right now but for it to be in the lower 80's or upper 70's at the moment, it cools off my room in about 15 minutes. I haven't used the heat mode as right now it is not cold for that. I like the remote control for it, small but good enough to not lose it so that I can change the temp, time, etc.
